What will we do to a given machine to indicate that extended support has been purchased for it - a different license code or the like?

Will Win 7 machines with extended support be able to get their patches via our ConfigMgr CB setup as they do now, or will they need to call home to Windows Updates directly?

Hi. There is no visible indicator in the UI that a computer has Windows 7 Extended Security Updates. It will show in the SCCM Lifecycle dashboard or if you run slmgr /dlv from an admin command prompt you can see that the ESU key has been installed and activated.

You can deploy your updates via ConfigMgr as you currently are.

@Michael_Raschko And I assume the ESU key can be deployed to the chosen computers via ConfigMgr as well?

You could deploy and activate the key via script from ConfigMgr.

@Michael_Raschko What version of Configuration Manager is required to see this in the Product Lifecycle dashboard? We are on 1902 and Windows 7 is entirely absent from this version of the dashboard.

@RaslDasl 1910. But what you describe sounds like something unrelated. If other OSes show in the dashboard but not Win7, then you most likely have a more general issue.

@Michael_Cureton This might be isolated to 1902 without hotfixes. It's missing from the dashboard and the reports.

@RaslDasl I'll check to see if there is a known issue.

@RaslDasl I confirmed that this is an issue that impacts 1902 (and Win7).
