The company I work for has four offices. We use Teams and would like to have the offices connected at all times in a sort of a video conference call. However, we'd like to avoid audio feeds going from all four offices to all of the other ones at all times. Basically, the idea is for all the offices to be able to see each other, but if office 1 needs to talk to office 2, it should be able to do so without disturbing offices 3 and 4 (which could themselves be talking to each other at the time), like having a video conference with separate audio channels. Of course, if all four offices need to discuss something, they should also be able to do that as well. I'm aware that this could be achieved to an extent with mic/playback volume control at each office or by using a 2-layer approach and having camera feeds from all the other offices displayed on screen while Teams would then only be used for audio calls, but was wondering if there's a more elegant solution so to speak. Haven't found anything in my research so far, but I figured I could check here in case I missed something. So does Teams support anything like that?

Nothing on teams would make this seamless and it’s a unique scenario. But if you wanted you could have meetings setup for each time and these run indefinitely so you can switch between them freely. Have a meeting called room 1 and 2 and one call all 4. And you would just join the meeting in your chat list based on which setup you wanted it to be in.

As far as showing all cameras as all times and just changing audio sources then you’ll need something external or make use of audio conferencing and dial into different meeting join codes based on the configuration or a 3rd party setup of some kind.
Thanks for responding, Chris. Still no solution to this and I'm looking at different vendors at the moment, but marking this as the best reply as it nevertheless answers my question.

@moca979 I have seen this requirement in a number of clients now who want a 'window to the world' to join up geographically dispersed teams and provide a real time always on 'link' between sites.

It would be a nice feature to have.
