Once a team has been created is there a way for me to determine what the template of a Team is? 

Get-Team does not give the details of the template used for the team.

Are you talking about creating a team from a template within the teams client or programmatically?
Afaik you can’t see anywhere which team you used as a template

Programmatically Using PowerShell and the beta API calls you can specify retailstore / retail manager etc for the template.

I wanted to know if there was a way checking what template has been applied to a team. I couldn't find anyway of doing this.

Did you have any luck with this? I can't see anything in the API or beta API that tells you if a team uses one of the following templates listed here :
