I use a Virtual Machine for work and when I try to sign into Teams desktop client it goes only for the initial sign-in. Subsequent sign-ins give an error with error code 80090016. When I clear cache, it signs in but after then I get the same error message. This issue does not happen on the web client. It means I would have to clear cache every time I want to use the Teams desktop application. 

I have attached a screenshot of the error message to this post.

Are there any particularities in the VM that could be the cause of this problem? In my case, I use a lot VMs to demo different Teams stuff and I have not had the problem you are having
