Microsoft Teams Group Disable from Exchange Clients

Frequent Contributor

Hi All,

A query regarding the groups created either from Teams, Planner or from Power BI can be disabled from Exchange Clients using the following commands :

Set-UnifiedGroup -Identity $_.Identity -HiddenFromExchangeClientsEnabled

But If you want to disable the same it comes an error.

Please need some assistance in this query!!

Why don't you use the Get-UnifiedGroup to get all your Groups and then for each Group just apply the HiddenFromExchangeGlientsEnabled

That's because it's a switch parameter. Try this instead:

Set-UnifiedGroup SharePoint -HiddenFromExchangeClientsEnabled:$false

Hello Juan,
Thank you for the response but as you can see I have asked about the invisible groups which is hidden from Exchange Clients. I have already done the command to display all Groups through “Get-UnifiedGroup | select DisplayName, PrimarySmtpAddress | Ft”

I want to bring back my group which is hidden from Exchange Clients App!!
Good One @Vasil! But this command “Set-UnifiedGroup -Identity “groupid” -HiddenFromExchangeClientsEnabled $False” is giving an error as you can see my screenshot attached within this post!

And I told you how to solve the error...

In case it wasn't clear - you need to remove the space between -HiddenFromExchangeClientsEnabled and $False, and replace it with a semicolon -HiddenFromExchangeClientsEnabled:$False

Absolutely Correct! It's a simple parameter which i was missing Thank you @Vasil Michev
