I have a number of teams with many guests invited (students) and want to know if they have actually accepted the invitation and joined.  Is there a way of seeing this?

Hi Laurin

Have you tried clicking onto a channel (any will do) and clicking onto This team has guests under the top header to see your guest (and other member) list?

You can also go through Manage team in the team groups menu, to do this.

Hopefully that helps?

Cheers

Damien

Thanks Damien,

Yes I can see all my guests and member but does this actually mean that they have joined the team.  Don't they just appear on this list once you have added them?

Hi Laurin

I'm not sure of the technical aspects, but I would imagine when you add them to a team they are already set but just need to access it.

If you are looking for a notification that they have logged in after being added, I'm not aware of any method to do that. Perhaps another user here has more technical expertise to confirm or clarify this, but I haven't seen anything that can do it.

The Admin compliance centre might be able to generate a log it but I don't have access to it to check for myself!

Best wishes!

Cheers

Damien

Assuming a given student would only have access to a Team (e.g. they haven't previously been given access to anything else in the 365 tenant), then you could check their user account in Azure AD - if they have not yet accepted the invite, on the properties of the account they will show as 'invited' rather than 'external user'
If you want a bulk way of doing this there is now a powershell way of doing it. I had a work around method I posted about bit Microsoft updated it so you can see the guest invite status now easily.
