Good Day.

Does anyone know why I wouldn't have Background Image capability yet when everyone else on my Tenant has had it for over a week now?  I am using the Desktop App, Microsoft Teams Version 1.3.00.8663, and I do have Blur capabilities.  As far as I can tell I should have Background image capability too but I'm not certain why I don't. 

 

I have tried uninstalling/re-installing Teams too.  No luck.

 

Do I wait another few weeks with fingers-crossed or is there a way that I can verify and address the problem?  I teach others how to use Teams at my company and this makes it challenging that I can't explain why some features like this aren't available to everyone on the Tenant yet.

Have you tried signing out of the Teams app and signing back in? (although in theory uninstall-reinstall should trump that, you never know).

@Rob Ellis I had not tried that.  Great suggestion!  I just tried and it didn't work though.

@Mr_Beacher, I think it's a problem in my laptop (Windows), because I just tried in a Mac and it's works fine....
I'm still holding my breath. According to Tech, Microsoft is still claiming their rolling it out. My hardware has been verified to be appropriate and materially no different than my other coworkers. This is as frustrating as it can get!

On the plus side, I do have the chat pop-out ability now.

Nearly 3 months later and I just randomly have Backgrounds available now.  Probably shouldn't jinx it!  ~Thanks Microsoft... :facepalm:

@FranciscoLopez when the blur first launched the device had to support a hardware standard (AVX2) but MS have since relaxed this from June and now works with AVX

@Willjmoo the confusing thing was that I had AVX2, as confirmed by my Tech Dept.  Others with my same technical setup have had Backgrounds since late April.  It was quite frustrating as MS didn't offer any way for me to confirm what exactly was going wrong; just that they were still rolling the functionality out.

My computer have AVX2... But just today it's working...
