Microsoft Certified: Information Protection Administrator Blueprint Opportunity

Microsoft

Greetings!

Microsoft is introducing a certification for the Microsoft Certified: Information Protection Administrator role, and we need your input through our exam blueprinting survey.

The blueprint determines how many questions each skill in the exam will be assigned.  Please complete the online survey by November 13th, 2020.  Please also feel free to forward the survey to any colleagues you consider subject matter experts for this certification.  If you have any questions, feel free to contact josowles@microsoft.com or Don Tanedo at dtanedo@microsoft.com.

Can Microsoft provide a bit of clarity on what is happening with this exam?
Couple of things;
1. The "SC-400" designation would indicate some form of security stream, similar to how AZ addresses Azure, MS M365, DP for Data platform etc. - Does this mean that MSFT will be releasing a bunch of security focused exams?

2. What happens to this exam with regard to the existing MS-500 exam? Does the Information Protection/DLP/CAS question set get removed from MS-500? In my experience that was the bulk of the questions fielded by MS-500.....

@jameswestalll we are still working through all of this and don't have answers yet. We'll share with this blog as soon as we know something.
