Microsoft Defender is doing well as a consumer product but in term of cooperate environment it is powerful too. You do have a basic Group Policy and Scripting capability, however in case you use Microsoft Intune or Configuration Manager, you have powerful configuration and reporting capabilities like any other cooperate anti-malware products and since it is part of the Windows 10, you don't have to worry about installation and deployment and you should just manage it.
