Chat-questions could be shown to local speakers/audience (at the moment we only read chat-messages to speakers)

Does anybody know a way to fulfill those requirements or put them onto the development list

Regards, Marko.
Mon, 31 May 2021 09:58:20 GMT markorudloff 2021-05-31T09:58:20Z Webinar feature | camera
We have started using the feature webinar with an microsoft e3 license and now we cannot allow other people to turn on their camera.

Everytime we want to save "camera allowed" as activated, it returns "an error has occured".

Does anyone have an answer to this?

Thanks in advance.
Mon, 31 May 2021 12:47:29 GMT ronjarotthues 2021-05-31T12:47:29Z Can't Access Meeting Options ("Something went wrong")
Hello,

I'm organizing a webinar on Teams, so I'd like to set the waiting room and host & attendees to the meeting I set. If the customer has sufficient bandwidth, a single encoder that can dual push (post encoding, not encoding twice), then dual pushing can provide help in some scenarios. However, when used incorrectly it can cause problems (e.g. two different encoded streams). In all cases we strongly encourage testing the setup being used including doing things like disconnecting, reconnecting as well as failing over to any backup encoder.

It is also extra important that the encoders be configured for CBR (Constant bit rate) when dual pushing.

Two different encoders must not be sending to primary and secondary at the same time. If a backup encoder is used, ideally it should be as close to the configuration of the primary as possible.

But it should be tested thoroughly for fail over, and should take into account that updating one encoder or the other may cause failures in scenarios where previously it had succeeded. If the encoders are different, it may also be worth considering having a backup stream event that is separate.

I hope this helps..

Cheers !!
Wed, 26 May 2021 22:09:44 GMT Susheel_Dogra 2021-05-26T22:09:44Z Microsoft WEBINARS
Get started with Webinars in Microsoft Teams today

Full-featured webinars for rich customer engagements

Now you can organize and hold interactive meetings and webinars for up to 1,000 attendees with Teams. Use end-to-end webinar support that’s as simple as setting up a Teams meeting—including custom registration pages and attendee emails, rich presentation options, host controls, such as the ability to disable attendee chat and video, and post-event reporting understanding participation and to follow up with attendees.

If you need to reach more than 1,000 attendees, Teams meetings can seamlessly scale to accommodate a 10,000-person view-only broadcast experience. This can very be distracting, unprofessional or disturbing.

Please find some important ways to ignore these dings and pings sound during the event:

1. Go to the settings of your Teams Client and choose your status to DND (Do not disturb), by doing that you will not hear any ping sound while receiving any message , though you will be receiving all the messages from others but silently. Checkout the below screenshot as a reference :

2. Second way , If you go the right bottom corner of your system's task bar and hit the notification center and click on the below icon shown in the screenshot and set it to PRIORITY only , you could actually avoid the unexpected sounds from your system during the event :

3. And the last way would be , go to the start menu of your windows and type FOCUS ASSIST , open the setting and choose PRIORITY ONLY

I hope this will help you to produce the events more efficiently.

Cheers !!

#
Tue, 20 Apr 2021 11:39:40 GMT Susheel_Dogra 2021-04-20T11:39:40Z Don't have live event option on teams
I don't seem to have the "Live Event" option on my Microsoft teams calendar. Triple check your desktop setup - turn off notifications, finish updates, close unnecessary apps

2. Create a recording of any live demos for backup or to simply "roll" when the time is right
3. The calmer you can stay while you are delivering your content the better for you, your technical team and your talent (presenters).

2. Rehearse - If you are producing an executive town hall or more formal event there is no replacement for bringing everyone together to review the "show flow" or what is going to happen when. Knowledge and practice is power.

3. Digital is different - Having more engaging content and keeping your audience's eyes moving is an important part of ensuring you don't have drop off during the course of your event. Shorter sessions, more breaks, switching content views are all tools you can use to keep things interesting.

I hope you will all share your own tips for other event organizers here!
Thu, 17 Sep 2020 15:30:37 GMT Karuana Gatimu 2020-09-17T15:30:37Z
